Physiotherapy healthcare assesses, diagnoses, treats, and works to prevent dysfunction and disability through physical means.
What exactly is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy healthcare assesses, diagnoses, treats, and works to prevent dysfunction and disability through physical means. We are University trained experts in human movement and function and work with you to assist in overcoming movement disorders. These disorders may have been present from birth, acquired through accident or injury, or are the result of ageing or life-changing events.
Physiotherapy facilitates recovery from injury, reduces pain and stiffness, and increases mobility.
As Physios, we can also help you prevent further injury by listening to your needs and working with you to plan the most appropriate treatment for your condition, including setting goals, treatment outcomes and demonstrating rehabilitation exercises.
Do I need a referral?
As first contact practitioners, a Doctor’s referral is not necessary to see us. Physios, Doctors, and other health professionals will often work as part of a team to plan and manage treatment for your specific condition.
